About

A Healthy Community

When you choose us, you join a community.  We work with professionals that will assist and support your needs.

Understanding our Process

We require a referral from a medical professional.  (Our referral form is on the resource tab).

The first appointment is a one hour tele-health intake.  During this appointment, our doctor will interview you, review the referral, and obtain medical history.  This is also a wonderful chance for you to ask questions.  During this appointment, your doctor will schedule your testing appointment in our Louisville or Glasgow office.

Once the testing is completed, your doctor will review the test scores and write a report.  A feedback appointment is then scheduled to review the results of your test.  You and your referring professional receives a copy of your report.

Neuropsychology Facts

  • A neuropsychological evaluation is an assessment of brain-behavior relationships using standardized tests and instruments.

  • A neuropsychologist is a clinical psychologist that has received additional training in the area of neuroanatomy, neuropathology, and the administration/interpretation of neuropsychological tasks.  Only a neuropsychologist is qualified to administer and interpret these tests.

Neuropsychological Testing

Neuropsychological tests are specifically designed to measure a psychological function known to be linked with a particular brain structure or pathway. Tests are used for research into brain function and for the diagnosis of deficits in a clinical setting.

Performance on tasks is compared to patients with similar demographics (such as age, gender, or education).  Certain tests will also allow for idiographic comparisons (using the patient as their own reference point).
